Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Shariq Ansari Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Forum RSS feeds do not include author. This information is useful. I'd personally recommend it simply be included by default, but an option to include it would also work.
A.S.R. Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I have a similar issue. I want to send out automated newsletters in MailChimp based on RSS feed from my pages database, but the feed is so crude, I can not add author name or an image. And this makes the newsletter too boring. Can we have these options when creating RSS, I'd like to know?
bfarber Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 The only "author" field supported by the RSS standard is for the author's email address (we do not generally make public an account's email address). It's not possible without using custom namespaces (or potentially switching to ATOM instead of RSS).
