Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Alexander Rick Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Does anyone know a plugin which allows me to show latest tpoic feeds on my wordpress site SIDE BY SIDE or tell me how to do? greetings
bfarber Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 You can create feed blocks (such as "latest topics") in the Pages application, and then embed those blocks externally on other sites. This is your best option for this purpose.
Alexander Rick Posted October 29, 2018 Author Posted October 29, 2018 Thanks for the fast answer. The problem is that I have to choose other segments than latest posts. But I will try. I saw this Block so i thought it is possible.
bfarber Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Latest posts is one option, but the feed blocks allow you to control other parameters too.
James O'Malley Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 Hi Alexander and bfarber, So can I place blocks with specific gallery albums, clubs, calendars and feeds from my community onto my single sign on wordpress site? If so, where can I find that documentation? Thank you in advance for any insights and attention!

Some of the things you're asking about may not be possible out of the box (I don't recall every single type of widget we support off the top of my head) but there may be additional widget options available in the marketplace to fill any missing gaps.
James O'Malley Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 I just bought Pages especially for that and have been trying to load blocks into my wordpress pages but none of them work. I followed Matt's tutorial on YouTube, which is excellent, but it does not work on my site (wp as home/ and Invision as home/community) with wordpress custom html widgets, the way it seamlessly did for him. Any suggestions as to what may be keeping the html from actually loading? Million thanks for any insights!
opentype Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 As a general and well known rule: “I doesn’t work” is not something anyone can work with. Does the block work in general, e.g. when placed on the IPS site? What is shown on your WordPress front end? Is it completely ignored? Or is there something visible from the block? Do you have a test page? Is there an error in the console? What code did you use?
James O'Malley Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 Hi Opentype and thank you for your reply. Yes, the html I copied and pasted into a page body widget and a footer widget from the Invision admin blocks embed code (both the loader above and the feed second just like in the Invision YouTube Video) is completely ignored by wordpress. The saved and loaded page appears to not have grown for the page row custom html or footer widget html, however the footer widget Post Feed Title I added in the page builder does appear.
