Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Morgin Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Hopefully an easy one - is there a way for guests to have access to forums/discover/unread stream, or is the read/unread flag set based on a registered account? Adsense is telling me it has errors accessing the URL which makes sense as no guest can see it either, but I wasn't sure if it can be enabled for guests.

Well I wasn’t sure if there is some sort of cookie used or what, although instinctively what you are saying obviously makes sense. I’m just sort of confused how the adsense crawler found those urls at all.
bfarber Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Unread content is only supported for logged in users, and the link should only be shown for logged in users. If you provided login details for the adsense crawler, that may explain why they see the link (although in that case, the link should also work for the bot).

No login info provided as Adsense can’t use it due to CSRf token.
