dhpunkt Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Hello, we are using the incoming email feature of commerces support. For historical reasons our support address has dozen of aliases. We experienced that emails sent to addresses not associated with a department are not processed but deleted without notice. Would be really great if you could implement a catch-all option or fallback department for addresses that are not associated. At least emails should not be deleted by the system if they are not processed.
Jim M Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Maybe I am not understanding your issue entirely but I would suggest forwarding your outdated email aliases to a corresponding active email address on your email server. That way it can be piped into Commerce to the right department and caught before ever entering Commerce.
Aiwa Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 I agree with Jim here. This isn’t a software issue, instead it’s a server config issue. Alias your legacy email addresses to another active email that commerce watches and will import into the correct department based on your needs.
