Exit International Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 We just updated the forum and now members don't find the option to log in when going to the forums page. No fields to enter username and password that is. I am pretty sure it's just a setting, but we can't figure it out. Can anyone help? Thanks
Faqole Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Are you using a custom theme? A link to your forum would help btw.
Exit International Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 www.peacefulpillforums.com Under Appearance themes it says "Default - custumized"
Xenboy Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Try switching to the default, uncustomized version of the theme temporarily. Your customizations may be interfering with the updated login code.
Exit International Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 Under Appearance - Themes I find this screen. I tried setting Theme 4.2 as member theme but it does not help, I still get the log in screen without log in fields.
Nathan Explosion Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Have you approached the theme developer for assistance? Have you put the default IPS theme in place to see if the same issue exists with that? (the 2 themes available to a guest are both customised themes)
Exit International Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 were can I find the default IPS theme?
Nathan Explosion Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 In your list of themes. If you don't have one, then just create a new theme and there you have the default...and that is where you begin your troubleshooting to determine if this is an IPS issue, or possible a plugin? as it will exist in the default theme too or you find out that it is your customised theme that is the problem...and you then search for whether there is an update available for it.
Exit International Posted July 1, 2018 Author Posted July 1, 2018 I created a new theme and adapted it and now the log in screen works again. Thanks a lot for everybody's help!
