Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Thomas P Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Hi folks, how do you do your testing, which caching method is the best in your specific environment? I am asking because we did the switch to PHP 7.2.3 /w OpCache this week. We were using Redis, because it was recommended to us, but I don't seem to see a difference in speed of site using it or not (GTMectrix or Pingdom). Stock PHP /w OpCache seems to be fast as well. How do you test? Thanks, Thomas
silenceheaven Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 If it's not costing you to keep redis up and running, why not just leave it enabled. OPCache will run along it without issue.
Bluto Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Might want to consider some monitoring tools. https://haydenjames.io/50-top-server-monitoring-application-performance-monitoring-apm-solutions/
