Posted March 23, 20187 yr Hi folks, how do you do your testing, which caching method is the best in your specific environment? I am asking because we did the switch to PHP 7.2.3 /w OpCache this week. We were using Redis, because it was recommended to us, but I don't seem to see a difference in speed of site using it or not (GTMectrix or Pingdom). Stock PHP /w OpCache seems to be fast as well. How do you test? Thanks, Thomas
March 23, 20187 yr If it's not costing you to keep redis up and running, why not just leave it enabled. OPCache will run along it without issue.
March 23, 20187 yr Might want to consider some monitoring tools. https://haydenjames.io/50-top-server-monitoring-application-performance-monitoring-apm-solutions/
