Re assign content to another user for editing?

If people are allowed to edit their own content, in a Pages database, what happens if maintaining that content falls to another person?

Is there a way to allow multiple people to edit specific content without creating 17000 usergroups?

Or be able to reassign it?

Yes. It’s an option if you edit the entry in the ACP.
