FEEDBACK:   - Please let us SHOW / HIDE the title bar at the top of the module - Please let us SHOW / HIDE the title of the embedded video under the embed

  • If it’s a channel feed you can subscribe to the channel. If it’s a playlist, it can contain videos of many different channels. So what are you actually subscribing to? That might be confusing.

Please keep it. Works fine for me (correct order).

Also the ability to add more "thumbnails" underneath would be AMAZING, to fill up the filmroll to the edge.

I really like this, yet I find it odd that you can't choose the title of the block and the position of the subscribe button is just weird.

How about placing the sub button at the very top right? (before the first row of videos) - it really does seem wasted at the bottom of the display. Also can we please have the ability to choose the title?

Hi,

I really like the 4 thumb layout - That would be fantastic for the IPpages custom block for your other super series

agreed on this. Or the option to move it about the 4 corners.

@opentype ping...

I think we might have to wait for more purchases.

I've also suggested to @opentype that other platforms would be good such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I'd love to see my social media come in-house and without using poor generated sidebar codes. I think @Adriano Faria has something for Instagram tho, at least I think.

Would love an option to replace film scroll with an up next scroll that shows x amount of video thumbnails instead of just random thumbnails of the same video (kind of pointless since you cannot interact with it.)

I can help with any questions regarding thumbnails, so that people understand that it isn't the plugin that is generating them.... @opentype is just providing you with the ability to use them.

Every Youtube video will have at least 7 thumbnails automatically generated by Youtube - these thumbnails for the following video are listed below:

Player Background Thumbnail (480x360 pixels)
https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/DECp8LKurKs/0.jpg

Start Thumbnail (120x90 pixels)
https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/DECp8LKurKs/1.jpg

Middle Thumbnail (120x90 pixels)
https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/DECp8LKurKs/2.jpg

End Thumbnail (120x90 pixels)
https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/DECp8LKurKs/3.jpg

High Quality Thumbnail (480x360 pixels)
https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/DECp8LKurKs/hqdefault.jpg

Medium Quality Thumbnail (320x180 pixels)
https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/DECp8LKurKs/mqdefault.jpg

Normal Quality Thumbnail (120x90 pixels)
https://i1.ytimg.com/vi/DECp8LKurKs/default.jpg

There are also 2 other thumbnails that may or may not be generated, depending on the choice of the video uploader, but the above are the 7 that are always created. There are no others that @opentype can give you access to via this plugin.

Does this allow the community to add their own youtube rss feeds or is this admin only that adds the feeds? Could we get some screenshots of the backend settings?

It’s for admins only. The available settings are listed 1 by 1 on the product page.

@opentype - Any chance of an update which could allow us to move the positioning of the sub button and also title the widget as we see fit?

I am sure others would appreciate this.

There is always a chance, but there are no immediate plans. We’ll see if these requests get support from other customers.

Thank you. It's a playlist. Works fine with channels.

QUESTION: How come when i add a CHANNEL it pulls the latest update (DESIRED OUTCOME). But when I add it as PLAYLIST it shows episode 1 first? (NOT DESIRED)  We show 1 video on our homepage and I'd love it to be the most recent addition to the playlist...

I’m just styling the RSS feeds. I quickly researched the issue and it doesn’t look there is anything I could do about it on my side. The order would have to be changed on YouTube side so the feed is delivered in a different order.

I can’t even create a work-around and manually reverse the order, since after the max value of videos, the newer one’s just won’t be in the feed.

Looks like I will have to add a warning about that or remove the YouTube playlist function altogether. Sorry about that.

For a channel, it shows the latest first. For playlists it uses the order of the playlist itself (just as you would see it on YouTube). That can indeed be the right order for someone – and the wrong order for another user.

Hey there,

I just purchased SuperShow, I've been waiting for something like this to take the pain out of hand coding and this looks perfect.

I can add a YouTube Feed Widget block easy, however when I click Edit I don't see any options only the H3 heading YouTube Feed Widget as a popup.

I'm not using the default IPB theme do you think this could be messing with the popup?

Thanks

EDIT -----

The above is on a page in a column. I just tried in a sidebar and the edit popup did display correctly.

EDIT AGAIN ----

There must have been something on the page that was causing the issue. I was using an existing page. I created a new page and it worked perfectly :)

Very Very Very COOOOOOOL!!!

Edited by AnonymousDev

I am receiving a "There was an error loading the RSS feed. Please check your settings and try again." on the widget. I tried 3 different channels including and keep receiving the same error.

Any ideas ?

Not sure.

If you place any of the two widgets it should instantly load the demo feeds already set up.

If it fails entirely, your server is probably set not to allow outgoing file calls, which load the RSS feed from YouTube and Vimeo.

Both widgets give the same error. I'll look around my CHM and see if I can find the setting for that.
