Sharing not enabled on a specific subforum?

Hi, 4.2.6 running here and converted from phpBB 3.1.
In all forums I can see the social media sharing buttons:

But I just created a new discussion subforum, but even while the Enable Sharing button is checked, I don't see these icons on that new forum, nor in the sharing part in the upper right corner of the post.

What am I doing wrong?

You probably didn‘t allow guests to visit the forum. That will turn sharing off (since visitors from social media sites would only see a Permission Denied page).
