Square Wheels Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I included two links in an Announcement, I just confirmed they are there, but when they display on the site, there is no link. Is HTML allowed in Announcements?
opentype Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Yes, it is allowed, but it won’t show in the announcement BLOCK (which is just a link section). It will show when you open the announcement. Alternatively you need this:
Square Wheels Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 Thanks, I just installed that. It makes no sense that you're allowed to create these elements in the announcement, but they don't show. Clicking the announcement is not intuitive, I suspect no does. What that plug in does should be default behavior.

They do show. Just not in the cut-off link preview in a widget pointing to the announcement page. And that’s is actually the default behavior of IPS widgets if you check it out. Even most “listing sections” for that matter. Just as in the blog, Our Picks or whatever. It’s a preview and you are supposed to open the full entry, not follow links that just happen to be in the beginning of the text and show in the preview. So whether you like that behavior or not, it actually does make sense.
