I say it because once I did it and the update was not done correctly, so now I use the default admin directory without the constants.php file Thank you.
Mark H Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Yes, as long as your constants.php file has the correct admin folder name, you can update without any issues. If you use the "manual method" to upgrade, where you upload the files with FTP, make sure that the files in the software zip file's "admin" folder are copied to your renamed admin folder. If you are using the automated method within the admin panel, that won't come into play; the update will know that you have a renamed admin folder and work properly.
