GlenP Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Now that 4.2 is out is there any chance of a "how to" for creating the new look Help Guides? They are exactly what we are looking for in actually using Pages for more than basic HTML links.
opentype Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 The navigation is a block and the code was posted here: That’s basically it. The rest is just regular Pages articles I would think.
GlenP Posted July 25, 2017 Author Posted July 25, 2017 Thanks opentype. I'd seen that thread when doing a search but gave up on it when @bfarberfailed to expand on this comment: "There is of course javascript tied in to this area and other templates and so forth" because, quite rightly, everyone was busy getting 4.2 ready. 4.2 is out now and the early adopters have upgraded while others are upgrading more slowly, waiting to see what bugs there are and/or waiting for 4.2.1 at least. If IPS are going to use this site to demonstrate what can be done with the software, there should also be clear and concise instructions on how to replicate the look and they shouldn't be relying on a months old thread in an obscure* part of the forums. *I'm sure I'm not the only CiC customer who doesn't bother with the Development forums as many of them require site access we don't have.
