rgf100 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 We could really do with some way to easily stop all emails for a member whose email address has expired or is bouncing messages as spam, or whatever. Currently I can't see anyway to do this beyond finding them in the AdminCP and changing their notifications settings. There used to be a 'delete all subscriptions' option, didn't there? Or am I missing an easy way of doing it? Currently I'm having to click down the whole list of notifications turning emails off. What I'd dearly love to see is a one-click link at the bottom of every email, which *doesn't require log-in*, which leads to a page where a user can just say "no more emails at all" or make more fine-grained changes. *And* make that page accessible to admin, so if a user's email starts bouncing, we can go straight from the bounced email to fixing it.
Cyboman Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Exactly. Have a look at this plugin, a feature to unfollow all has just been implemented. Concerning one-click unsubscribe in every email without login: this should be an essential core feature.
crabpaws Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 We need a one-click method to stop all e-mail notifications for a particular user in the Admin Control Panel. We all get lots of Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender notices.
rgf100 Posted July 26, 2017 Author Posted July 26, 2017 I'd also argue users themselves should be able to do this, without logging in (via a key on a link at the bottom of emails). This is too important, I think, to be a third-party plugin. I haven't looked at 4.2 yet, maybe it's coming.
stoo2000 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 My app will do this completely automated (if you use SparkPost or SendGrid) - I recommend using SendGrid.
crabpaws Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 The OP specifies an enhancement to the ACP. I agree with that, it should be a priority. Also agree that turning off all e-mail notifications would be useful for members, but that's another topic.
crabpaws Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Not only too important for a plug-in, but sort of a glaring omission in the member's control panel and ACP, given all the other options presented.
