April 27, 20195 yr I just had an occurrence where some longer term members started communicating in Korean via PM and got banned. Any chance there could be a threshold to the autoban - if member has > X amount of posts, or some other way to prevent it from impacting people with some history?

"Exclude following groups from spam check" ...
April 28, 20195 yr Or maybe something like "Exclude users with more reputations than X"?. It will be more flexible 😉 Edited April 28, 20195 yr by DamonT

Some sort of combination of content count or days of activity or whatever. Usually the Korean spam bots are brand new accounts, so if someone has more than X approved content, it’s probably ok for them to use the characters
February 23, 20204 yr Author Guys, if you're using giphy, please disable the external url check if you want to avoid that any content with giphy images needs to be moderated (or that the author gets banned if the setting is enabled). A new version addressing this issue by allowing you to define a white list of allowed domains and also excluding giphy links automatically, will be released tomorrow, it's already finished, but needs some further testing.

Hey there! Thanks for making this plugin. @Fosters I just purchased it, however I do not see the 'Content count' option in the admin panel. Also, when I select 'Moderate content with external links,' nothing happens. I can't input any domains to whitelist.

Sorry for this. I'll get this sorted tomorrow. Edited April 17, 20204 yr by Fosters
May 9, 20204 yr Author A new version was released Changehistory Quote A new setting was added to include the spam prevention checks to the contact us form. ATTENTION, when the check is positiv, the form will still return the same output like if the email was sent to the admin, while it was just blocked;)
June 17, 20204 yr Hey there, even with this plugin installed, lately I have been getting a lot of spammers registering and posting ~50+ topics per account overnight. There's a security question in place. I also have Google, FB and Twitter enabled to login. Interestingly, I have also had a lot of members claim they are being automatically banned as a result of the system suspecting they are spammers? They are existing members. Not sure why that is happening either. I'm not sure what else to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Edited June 17, 20204 yr by breatheheavy
July 3, 20204 yr Hey there. For some reason, members are getting banned left and right as I believe this application suspects they are spammers. I have no idea why this is happening lately. They don't appear to be posting anything suspicious. Wondering if this is happening to anyone else? @Fosters
July 9, 20204 yr Author Is the ban setting enabled? Is there anything in York Mod Log being logged? It should log the reason for the banning IF they’re banned by this app.
September 13, 20204 yr Hey there =] Wondering... will there be an updated version for 4.5? Thank you!

I was going through my outdated apps today and renewed the Spam Prevention Suite and then afterward realized it is not available for 4.5. smh.
January 6, 20214 yr @Fosters is there any chance that this plugin will be compatible with newest forum soon? I understand that it works fine, but we can not install on update it via Marketplace due to error: "This file is not compatible with the version of Invision Community you are using.".
