Is there a way to remove spam from Post blocks?

Is there a way to remove the spam post titles from blocks like recent threads / recent posts?

They are wiped out, but they still remain in those blocks that link to nothing.

Just curious if I am missing a step, or it's a little bug of some kind.

What spam posts? Ones that you just deleted?

If you have sidebar caching enabled, then it will take the time you have set to update the blocks and remove links to content that was removed previously.

These have been there quite a while.  Unless multiple people are whacking spam and I am seeing seeing the results of that.

I'll try to keep track a little more closely and see if the same ones are still stuck there.
