Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
pequeno Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I received a PII violation notice from Google that says URL group: mywebsite.com/forum/unsubscribe/ Found 22 time(s) or 0.23404256 of the total records URL sample: https://www.mywebsite.com/forum/unsubscribe/?email=redacted@example.com&key=6929ac7e6235668476cf4c90bec61b15 It seems a problem with personally identifiable information (PII): https://support.google.com/platformspolicy/troubleshooter/6096802 I don´t find anything about. Please, help me! Google warns me that they will cancel my account.
pequeno Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Google says that if click in https://www.mywebsite.com/forum/unsubscribe/?email=redacted@example.com&key=6929ac7e6235668476cf4c90bec61b15 can access to users email. It is necessary remove emails in urls or not show ads in the page of this url. I don´t understand anything!!
opentype Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Google says? Where? What exactly? Are you talking about the Search Console? The links you show are the email newsletter unsubscribe links. They are used in the bulk mails and send via email only. They shouldn’t be crawled by Google. So I am unsure where Google sees those links and your two posts don’t really make that clear.
pequeno Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Hello @opentype The information is from my Google Certified Publishing Partner. I don´t have access to the console. They don´t send me more information. Only a mail with this advert! This is the complete mail: It seems that site passes PII (for example, some e-mail address) to Google, here's an example: URL group: mywebsite.com/forum/unsubscribe/ Found 22 time(s) or 0.23404256 of the total records URL sample: https://www.mywebsite.com/forum/unsubscribe/?email=redacted@example.com&key=6929ac7e6235668476cf4c90bec61b15 To detect which site for PII to Google, use https://support.google.com/platformspolicy/troubleshooter/6096802 Can you to have stuck some email address for reports in Analytics too. Check also https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/6157752?hl=es Thanks and you tell me when resolved, please, if not, you close your AdSense account.

What’s that gibberish? He can’t even speak English. That is all really weird. Are you sure that is an official message “from Google”?
pequeno Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Sorry, I speak spanish and this is a translation from spanish language. Mistranslation I think. The message is from my Google partner. He will send me more information tomorrow.
pequeno Posted October 12, 2016 Author Posted October 12, 2016 Right! I found the problem. Invisionpower use the email in unsubscribe link When click in this link, the url with the user email shows. This is an important problem and violating the PII Google policy. There are two solutions to avoid this: 1.- Don´t show the email in url. Invisionpower don´t have a solution for this. 2.- Don´t show Google Ads in the page with the email in url. Here: Can someone help me to remove the ads from here?
