CinemaVision Posted January 9, 2017 Author Share Posted January 9, 2017 New update, and thanks to @Joel R for spreading the word! We're still having trouble with hooking into Amazon. The only way we've been able to engineer it to work is to have it download the files to your web server first, and then package them for download. We can't get Amazon to allow us to archive on the fly, which sucks. We're going to keep plugging at that. We're pretty well finished with the newest release, and have added one very big feature since the last update that we're polishing now. Advanced Downloads now includes a fully featured queuing system. Full disclosure, the two sites that we have this installed on right now do a lot of download traffic. Terabytes a month on average. With Advanced Downloads enabled, we ran through most of our average bandwidth in 8 days. Advanced Downloads used up all of our servers' resources because hundreds of users were using it at once. To combat that issue, and make Advanced Downloads a bit cooler, we built the queuing system, which you'll be able to configure and monitor from the ACP. You'll be able to set a queue size limit, and a queue concurrent downloads. If files are sized above the size limit, or Advanced Downloads is already processing files over that size limit, the requested file will be queued up and when ready, an email will be sent to the user with a link to their file.
