Posts wont fully delete

Hello

When i delete any post it removes successfully but the topic title and its author still shows on the recent posts column of the forum index

is it a bug or a setting i'm missing? 

using a fresh copy of version 4.1.15

That's a bug, unfortunately. Please see this KB article (and read the description on that page carefully):

then apply the patch within.
