Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Zenithlt Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Is it somehow possible to sort member by their profile info. ex. I ask my members to select one of the colors and i want to see member who for example selected Red and so on.
opentype Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 The search function (accessible via /search/ or the search input field) can do that. Here I added “Interest” is “music” for example: https://invisionpower.com/search/?&type=core_members&joinedDate=any&group[45]=1&group[36]=1&group[44]=1&group[4]=1&group[5]=1&group[43]=1&group[47]=1&group[3]=1&core_pfield_14=music
Machsterdaemon Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 You can't search for this kind of profile field on the member search page in version 4.1.13.2 if the field type is Checkbox set.

Machsterdaemon Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 I'm hoping this will be an option in the next releases. You can of course create predefined colors to choose from, and choose 'Select box' instead as field type to make it searchable on the member search page, but I'm not sure if the values your members choose will be kept intact if you choose other field types later on, that are more practical, like 'Checkbox set'.
Giray Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Want to add my voice to an old request. It would be extremely useful to be able to search a non-text profile field. I want my members to check off boxes so that I can find them later. Core function? Plugin?
