This wouldn't make any sense.

Why should the user see "create an account or sign in" if he's already logged in and just missing permissions? e.g. think about a announcement forum. Only team members have permissions to create and reply to topics there. Would you really want to show a message "please create an account or sign in to comment this" even if they can't reply to the topic?

Hello Daniel, and thanks for your attention.

I think it makes sense in cases like mine (and many others). A lot of forums require posting first in specific forum and then users can post in the other.
Actually, the other forums are open for posting, but need a minimum of messages.

In this cases, don´t show the message for promote registration?

I understand you have to decide one way to do and you have chosen that.

Yea, but my point is, that you would want to show another message and not "please create an account or sign up".Your specific case could be accomplished with a IP.Pages block or would require a plugin.

OK Daniel,

If you allow me, an option for certain cases, would be the "login message for guests" was more customizable, and to decide what forums to show it.

For example:

Show register message to guest: Yes / No
Select forums to show: ...

With this, avoid potential "problems" with permissions settings and user promotion.

His feedback is that when you are guest, he wants the signup box to show regardless of whether regular members (the first group you're put in when registering) has access to write in that topic/forum.

He doesn't want the box to show up for logged in members. I'm not sure if you understood the original request or not based on your replies, so just clarifying just in case.

Thanks for the clarificatión. My english is bad.

indeed you can currently only display the message to guests, if there is no restriction . In many cases, these restrictions allow you to post and should also display the message to guests. It's my point of view
