Memcached or Redis?

I've heard nothing but greatness from sites who switched to Redis over Memcached. I'm slowly working on a migration that will take a while and since IPS supports it out of the box, its a possibility to switch to this.

Has anyone seen any improvements of using it over mc?

For IPS, memcached works best.

Just out of curiousity, why do you say that, and have you tested redis vs memcached with IPB, if there is even a way to test it.
