Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
BenCurry Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Hi, I am using IPS Cloud hosting and want my users to be able to post their images and files directly to my site. I have quickly found that this can mean a heavy mount of data and this cn get expensive on the IPS plans. What options do I have available to have the image and file uploads hosted elsewhere. What are the pros/cons of this and what is it likely to cost. If there a way to restrict the file size of uploaded images (or reduce them) as some of the .png images are huge even when restricted to pixel sizes. At the very least I would like anything uploaded to the 'Downloads' section of the site to be hosted elsewhere Is there a guide that I can check out about this? Thanks Ben
Ahmad E. Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 You can store them somewhere else easily; How much it'll cost depends on the cdn provider that you will use. KeyCDN has a trial plan I think and pricing is affordable.
