Hunter Lyons Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I'm confused. I've seen IPS staff always refer to 4x apps as Forums, Pages, Commerce, etc. But in the purchase section, it still lists IP.Board, IP.Content, IP.Nexus... What are the "official" terms for these? Both? If so, that's a tad odd.
Joel R Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 One refers to version 3 series. The other refers to version 4 series. It's all so IP.Confusion, right?
Hunter Lyons Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 That doesn't seem to be the case, though. When you buy a license still, which is realistically for the 4.x series, on the purchase page it still lists the supposed 3.x names.
Management Lindy Posted May 19, 2016 Management Posted May 19, 2016 Could you please show me a screenshot of what you're referring to? Thanks.
chilihead Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 My products have the old names too. Client Area: Purchases >> License >> Manage Your Community Applications Active Applications (List of old names here) Also old names in: Download IPS Community Suite (Download list of old names)
Hunter Lyons Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 I got here by going to my Client Area, going to one of my active licenses, then clicking Manage Your Comunity. Commerce and Pages seem to be up to date, but the rest still have the 3.x names.

But in Active Applications they are still old names for me except apps I do not own. Maybe because I renewed them before you changed the names. No biggie.
Management Lindy Posted May 19, 2016 Management Posted May 19, 2016 Existing purchases will be updated after 3 goes EOL.
