4.1.8 -> 4.1.10 Upgrade Failure

So twice now I have tried to update my test board from 4.1.8 to 4.1.10.  Each time the auto-updater fails and says that I have to upload the files manually; when I do i get nothing but white screens on both the front end and admin side.  Lots of errors:

I have tried restoring a backup, and re-uploading both the delta files and the full 4.1.10 set but nothing seems to work.  Welcome any ideas please.

I'd put a support ticket in asap.

If you have any 3rd party apps or plug ins, disable them and try again. I'm n a habit of disabling them each time before an upgrade and everything goes smoothly after I disable them.

I found a couple month old version of the Steam login handler plugin made my board inaccessible after the upgrade from 4.1.8. to 4.1.10... lost four hours of my life to that one :-(

Thanks everyone.  I had understood that the new upgrader automatically disabled any plugins, but either way I have managed to recover from a backup so will try again.
