Profile Information

I have two queries on this subject and wonder if anyone can help me.

1. Where do I add/edit profile information in the acp?
2. How do I hide emails from showing in the public profile of any user?

You need to go to ACP -> Members -> find the member and click on their name. All the options will be there.

Emails appears only to Admins.

Also there are also some Profile settings under Members > Profiles in 4.1.x.

One of my moderators says she sees other members, here is her screenshot:

 

I have not duplicated her error in our test account so am rather confused:

I did what you and @Adriano Faria suggested and I can add fields to the main profile page. What I cannot find is the ability to make them show in the mini profiles - the area under the users photo here:

That's because they have permission to view. Go to ACP -> Members -> Staff -> Moderators. Edit the group or the moderator and find:

Edit the profile field and find Display format in Search and display options. If you use the example:

<strong>{title}:</strong> {content} 

will display on posts.

Ahhhh, excellent!

I did that, and now have another issue... how to have a link profile field in the mini profile. So something like [link] and the that going to where the url states.

If I'm not mistaken, IPS4 has a field type URL. Change from TEXT to URL.

It already is and that is what I got. It's not even a clickable link in the mini profile. Plus the link looks messy... I'd like it to look like this: [link]

You need to change the DISPLAY FORMAT to something like that:

<strong>{title}:</strong> <a href='{content}'>{content}</a>

You can replace the second {content} for something else. It will show the text you type instead of the link.
