Jirinex Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Hello, Can someone please explain the new page button? In the ipb3, we were using the [page ] [/page ] to generate a new page in ip.content. Now in pages, it only adds a line, not a page. Where can I tune that behaviour and essentially, how can I add a new page to an article? Thanks.
Jirinex Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 Maybe I didn't ask correctly. How do I add pagination in articles?
opentype Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Those aren’t pages. It’s individual records from one database category. The thing with the numbers is custom made.
Jirinex Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 I can't understand why they would remove such thing, we 're doing articles that have 10-12 pages with tens of photos, it will be impossible to have everything in one page. I 'll need to go to the request forum
opentype Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I am not aware that there is/was an official page feature for posts in 3.x either. What you showed is a bb code, which probably just hides parts of a posts and makes them reappear one by one through JavaScript. I have never seen that in use on a 3.x site actually. But that functionality could be replicated in 4.x as well. I believe there is even something like that in the 4.0 JavaScript framework already.
