Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Square Wheels Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I enabled signing up and signing in with Google and Twitter. I've had a few people register with a username of Guest coming to me in the email, but a "real" username in the ACP. For my registration, I also have a required field that I help use to block spammers. That field is being bypassed. I presume these users are coming from Google and Twitter? Is there a way to require these users to complete the required field?
Robert Angle Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 ^ Bump! Yes, I have a slew of required fields that "Signing up with Twitter" seems to bypass.
Square Wheels Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 I put in a ticket, I'll let you know what they say.
Square Wheels Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 Per support you can't use any of the login handlers AND have a required field, neither for registration, nor login. I'd be happy to have a regular registration, but then allow registered users to use a login handler. Maybe in a future version?
