Stan Jensen Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Do place in their profile showing they are going financial support.. Appreciate any hints. and can this be done automatically?
opentype Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Automatic way: you handle the financial support via Commerce (subscriptions) and when people purchase the subscription they are moved to another group (e.g. called “supporter”) which can then be shown throughout the suite.
Stan Jensen Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 I have not been able to figure that out, I believe I have the module for that. Cool name btw.
bradl Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 As opentype suggests I use the Commerce application to move users who purchase a "site sponsor" store product into a specific user group for a year. I first created that group, adapted a team or group icon to be the badge for that group, and use the group formatting so their group label color coordinates with their badge and stands out from regular members. The relevant Group settings are shown in the attachment. You can design your own Group Icon or download sets of Icons in various places, most of which include a Contributor type badge.
Stan Jensen Posted January 16, 2016 Author Posted January 16, 2016 ok I made the button, and added the 'already paid for the year,' member to the group, the button is not showing up on his profile... I will try to figure out the commerce side after I get this resolved...
