DawPi Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 This plugin will display search results from CSE Google only if user will search in 'all' content on board. Otherwise build in search engine will be use. Development of this plugin was supported by the eGullet Society for Culinary Arts & Letters. sobrenome 1
sasiko Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 would this still work if you have forum content closed from guests?
DawPi Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 I don't know how exactly Google grabbing these informations. This questions should be answered by google. If you know what I mean.
Gabriel Torres Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Excellent plugin. Installed and working. But I still have some adjustments. The results are showing in English instead of the language I configured (Portuguese). See screenshots. PS: http://forum.clubedohardware.com.br
Gabriel Torres Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 PS2: Google may detect my country, OS language, and browser language and display the results in English (as I am not in Brazil and my OS/browser are in English), even if I configure the language to Portuguese. Just a conjecture of what may be happening.
DawPi Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) Hm, when I last time checking it it worked - I set Polish, English and other languages and it worked. eGullet, could you check on your board? Edited December 22, 2015 by DawPi Gabriel Torres 1
eGullet Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I just checked, and my results come back with the interface in English, no matter what language setting I choose. Gabriel Torres 1
Gabriel Torres Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 @DawPi my users are saying that for them the results are in Portuguese. I will make a test here using a proxy/VPN setting to simulate I am in Brazil to see what happens. Thanks. DawPi 1
DawPi Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 Maybe it's also stored in the cookies? Could you try it also? I'll make few tests soon.
Gabriel Torres Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 With proxy (HOLA) it still shows me the results in English. So it is not triggered by my IP address...
DawPi Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 Well, I'm checking it on mine dev localhost. It works for French, Swedish and I'm sure for the rest of languages. I can check it if you send me ACP and FTP details if you want to. But after Christmas.

DawPi Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 Gabriel, I can't reproduce this error on 4.1.8.1. When you disable this mod search function works fine? David.., not sure what you mean but.... yes.
Gabriel Torres Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 @DawPi yeah. Same thing happens if I use this link with your plugin disabled. I will have to dig deeper. It seems to be something related to an "advanced" search, and I wonder how the user got to this particular URL/search.
Gabriel Torres Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Got this interesting answer from the support. It is all good. Thanks. Quote Hello, Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce this via the search itself. URLs may be inserted by individuals trying to exactly to do this, break your site and cause this effect. Please let us know if you have any other information about this issue. Thanks, Jim M. Invision Power Services, Inc.
