gbstn10 Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 https://github.com/Sidane/xenforo-threadmarks For those who don't know about this, the Threadmarks tool allows you tag a forum post and creates a link to it. The link then appears on a drop-down menu next to the topic's pagination, which enables users to 'jump' to any tagged posts. This is particularly useful in large threads where, as stated in the link above, you could have a topic of 60+ pages about a TV show, and the threadmarks allow people to jump to posts before and after specific episodes have aired – thus saving them sifting through multiple pages to find what they want to read. I would LOVE if IPS – or anyone – could do something like this. It doesn't seem too hard to implement, but it would be a massive aid to both highlighting and finding useful information in posts – which is quite difficult to do now without reading every page. Any chance, IPS?
gbstn10 Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 I thought I'd leave this for a while before bumping it. Is there really only one other person who thinks this is a good feature? I think it'd be a significant improvement to forum topics. @Charles @Lindy
Management Lindy Posted December 27, 2015 Management Posted December 27, 2015 When we don't respond, it's because we're seeing if further feedback develops. I personally feel this is better left as a marketplace modification as Joel noted.
