Apfelstrudel Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Hello, today we found out that in some areas (tag search result in 4.0 and member search in 4.1) a normal user can use the user groups as a filter. From my point of view the user group list is a sensitive information which I DON'T want to show to the normal user. It shows them which hidden groups I have and maybe in which problematic user groups I put some users. So this information should definitely be hidden to normal users; or just implement a feature I can choose of. Thanks in advance.
AtariAge Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Ahh, yeah, I don't want my group list exposed publicly either, for the very same reasons you specified.
GrooveOnBeat Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 +1 This is an oversight to privacy. There ought to be an option for admins to disable/hide member groups in (any) search.
InsideEdge Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Anyone know where in the admin CP where I can deselect certain member groups from being searchable? Quote Clicking on the member tab, you will notice that any of your custom profile fields that have been set up from the admin CP are also searchable by the system if you have chosen them to be searchable items.
