If you upgrade PHP, and then immediately upgrade to version 4.1 then you won't need the file.

That patch is only for those staying on v3.4, and who need to use PHP Mail().

OK, thanks. I have a support ticket in for the Email issue I'm having with v4.1.3.2 is why I asked.
