memcache feels slower then using datastore?

turned on memchace again and it feels slower and there is a noticeable lag as each page loads.

Turn it off then.

While memcached can show some increase in performance, a few things to consider. Has memcached been setup correctly, to get it performing well you need to get your hands a little dirty on the server, plenty of tutorials out there though.

Do you have enough memory on your server? Have you configured memcached to use enough?

i have my server guy check on the back end - i remembered when i first turned it on early during 4.0 it was like greased lightning and sometime later i had to turn it off.
