Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
HippieDude Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 After the upgrade to 4.1.1 I noticed that the post count on our forum has gone crazy with extremely high post count. You can view it for yourself here http://rimbitforum.com/ I also notice this forum has a very high post count and wondering if its real or like my site, messed up
HippieDude Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 I had hoped the update to 4.1.2 fixed this issue, but it has not
chilihead Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 There's a hidden post recount tool if you go to an individual member, click Content, Recount, it will ask if you want to recount all members.
Bluto Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Looks like this just happened to the IPB forum! The main page of the forum looks hilarious... 9,000,000 posts... LMAO!
chilihead Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Ha! Yup... each forum but bottom total looks correct.
Bluto Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I wonder what is happening? Those numbers are really off the wall.
chilihead Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I wouldn't run the recount tool it looks like a bug that will need to be fixed. Looks like member counts are okay here anyway but some have reported those as well.
Koby Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I'm guessing this only affected 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 as my 4.1 forum hasn't been affected so far.
Bluto Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Looks like there's a Gremlin at work. Happy Halloween!
HippieDude Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 I can confirm that the recount tool does work, albeit taking a while...
