OK, I just upgraded to 4.0. where in the admin panel can I add the side bar to the forum?

If you do not see it in your homepage make this-> Open ACP - Members- Staff_Moderators - Edit Administrator - General

got it - needed to enable it under my username

Then click will open management blocks

Yes, if you have your username and your member group in either Moderators or Administrators then you will need to ensure that your username has the permission too as your username will outweigh that of your group.
