Hello Adriano, is it possible that the password is only for the owner and administrators to write in the topic? and that the rest of the users can read the content?

Or, if you have any other app that can do that.

Write in the topic? You mean post a reply? No. This resource is to create a password to protect the whole topic and not to restrict people from posting.

If you want to allow groups to read the topics without type the password, there's an exempt setting: Groups allowed to read topics without typing the password. Choose the groups you want them to NOT type a password.

Better explain what I'm looking for:

Because of the forum configuration, I cannot limit certain groups from being able to write in a topic, since this goes one level higher and applies to forums and subforums.

What I'm looking for is that one group can reply on a topic and the other groups can only read. All this in the same forum, without having to create a subforum and leave only the topic that I want to limit there.

Maybe this?

Is there anyway I can reduce the minimum password length to 0 as I don't want to input password every time I want to create new topic?

Could contain: Page, Text

As you can see from below image, the field itself isn't required password to create the topic (no red color text), but because there is the restriction that the field must have min password length so it's prevented me from creating topic without password

Could contain: Mobile Phone, Phone, Electronics, Text, Page

Password isn’t required. Just leave the field blank and hit save to create the topic.

Ok. I see the red text below the filed. It shouldn't be required. I'll make some tests and will release a fix if necessary.

Tks.

Sent you a fix via message so you don't need to wait for the approval queue. Instructions there.

New version is awaiting approval.

In the log section , having the password set by the member will be usefull

You want to see the password? Not necessary. Add your group to the Exempt setting and you’ll be able to enter the topic. I won’t reveal passwords.
