theme image upload limits

why the heck did you decide to limit the theme images to 1.2mb ?

i run hi-res png images and now i cant .

please let me at least set my own limits , i can every were else why not here?

This may be limited by PHP server settings (I will let a developer respond) but a temporary work-around for you is you can use designer mode and upload the item via FTP then sync your system.

I actually reported this as a bug in tracker some time ago and it's been discussed here in the forum. When reported as a bug Matt labeled it not so. I also can't remember Matts exact wording as to why, Been a while. I believe that should be considered a upload, as long as your server is set for over 2mb upload that should pass, but it doesn't.
