Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
EricGagne Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 So I performed the upgrade, did not get any errors but this is what my forum looks like now. How do I fix that ? AdminCP looks the same and I can't find the recache options Scrolling down the page I see this error, maybe it's related ? Though I wish it would tell me what went wrong and not just that something did. A configuration or server error has occurred EX145 Something went wrong. Please try again.
EricGagne Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 Error 145 had nothing to do with it, the ipb_sessions table was marked as crashed but after fixing it my forum still looks the same
EricGagne Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 Problem fixed. I had to activate designer's mode and sync back to the database
tAPir Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Lucky you I know someone's whose still stuck on the blue links and the Theme only works id DM is switched on.
EricGagne Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 Not so lucky. I just noticed that DM was still enabled. After disabling it I am back to blue links.
tAPir Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 We opened a Support Ticket and Tier III fixed it for us:http://www.ibtheme.com/forums/topic/4870-update-ibskincom-back-up-move-on-hold/?do=findComment&comment=18460
Dean_ Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Re-upload the whole theme and double check the storage settings to make sure the paths are correct.
EricGagne Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 All fixed and good. I had to ask support as I could not figure this out.For others who might have similar problems, check all your url's, my problem was a bad uploads one.
Large Scale Planes Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 I've got this problem with a local test install, where the upgrade now has a mangled set of paths for CSS and JS resources. My test install is configured to resolve to the url http://lsptest, while our online community is at http://forum.largescaleplanes.com. The link paths the test site now generates become http://lsptest/forums/http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/..., and I can't for the life of me see where the live URL is being spliced in from. I populated the local instance with a backup of the live v3 database prior to upgrading to v4. But now I can't even navigate the new ACP to figure out what's going on.Help!Kev
EricGagne Posted July 11, 2015 Author Posted July 11, 2015 Kev,Have you tried putting the ACP URL directly in your browsers address bar ? That would be http://lsptest/admin
Large Scale Planes Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Yeah, I can load the ACP fine, but without the CSS and JS files loading, I can't make my way around it to find anything. I have no familiarity at all with the v4 ACP, so I can't even be sure that there are settings there now that cover paths. I certainly haven't found anything so far, and trying to when it looks like your initial screenshot is nearly impossible!Kev
Large Scale Planes Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 OK, after clicking through enough plain blue links, I finally found it! It's under Storage Settings, Configurations. There's a field in there that contains the URL to the uploads directory, rather than the filesystem path (which was correct). This had the FQN of our live system in it, for some reason. I changed it to the test URL, and everything started working. Oddly, that field doesn't seem to be exposed in the fully-styled interface.Everything's so different though, that I'm still totally lost. No cache management?Kev

I had my uploads, CSS, JS as FQDNs of my old forum URL and now I can't find the spot to change it for the life of me. It used to be intuitive just looking at the SQL tables, now it's impossible with a broken ACP and no intuition of where things should be.OBNOXIOUS.
