Moved hosts from a home IIS with windows 2008 r2; to a 'nix box on DreamHost; I adjusted the conf file to reflect the information correctly. But no matter what I do i get this error, and i even tried redownloading the ip.board to make sure the files were all there and fine.

Open a support ticket in your client area, they should be able to help you out.

Ensure that /cache/ and /cache/skin_cache/ are writeable, and ensure that settingsEmpty.html exists in that directory.

If your /cache and /cache/skin_cache folders are present and writable... Your settings cache is likely corrupt..

In the IP.Board download /tools folder.... Upload the upgradeFinish folder to your /admin folder and run the index.php file in it to rebuild the cache..
