Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
_Mac Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I would like to hide the count of threads and replies in any protected forums (or just for members forum) in the index page - is this possible? Example of not hidden; I would like it to look like this (or similar);
Wolfie Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Sure it's possible. Just a matter of skinning if nothing else.
Aiwa Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 If it's a protected forum, would there be a need for them to see it anyway? Just don't give them permissions to view the forum?
stoo2000 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 We call them Topics over here :hyper: :whistle:
Wolfie Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 If it's a protected forum, would there be a need for them to see it anyway? Just don't give them permissions to view the forum? There are times when an admin wants a forum to be see, so people know it's there, but not be able to view anything inside of it. In some cases, it's a way of encouraging business, as some will want access and if it's a matter of paying a member fee, then they'll do it.
_Mac Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 @Wolfie +1 @Aiwa Consider if you have a forum with paid sub forums, you might wanna "show of" some sub forums to show what "premium" members get etc...
