Mat B Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I hope you will include Ad Code integration for all other IPB apps (I really want for IP Downloads:) ). I think everyone will like this since keeping a board is not just for fun and we invest time and money. if my board is producing only traffic but no money is not useful at all. I renounced to use IP Gallery since wasn't able to produce any $$ so I have no problem to skip to other more cash attracting scripts. If Downloads continue to be non-profitable will have the same future like the Gallery for me. regarding IP Content , I want to buy it ...but without a real good WYSIWYG editor I will prefer to continue with joomla :) What would really help, sergiu, is if you could post in a new topic in the relevant feedback forums the specific places you'd like to see ad code integration. It's not a huge thing to add, so there's a good chance it may just make it in - but it has to be something we're aware of!
Dymdez Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 I wish for the ability to change the maximum single attachment file size from 2mb to 10mb without needing a degree in computer science....
Clickfinity Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I wish for the ability to change the maximum single attachment file size from 2mb to 10mb without needing a degree in computer science.... That's usually a limit set by the default install of PHP on your server. You need to increase the upload_max_filesize variable in php.ini:http://www.phoca.cz/documents/38-tools/172-how-to-upload-files-larger-than-2-mb If you aren't able to effect the change yourself, ask your host to do it for you (providing they'll let you, or course :) ). Cheers, Shaun :D
Robulosity2 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I wish for the ability to change the maximum single attachment file size from 2mb to 10mb without needing a degree in computer science.... Pretty sure you don't require a Degree in Computer Sciences to edit your PHP Configuration since it is a plain text file... Besides, it's your webhost not IPB, I have mine set to 750MB
Dymdez Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I just don't know how to do all of that. I have no idea what PHP is or anything of the sort. I'm a legal studies major, not computer science =D Why can't it just be altered in the admin panel? Wouldn't that be better? vB allows it does it this way. I can't imagine that this would be so difficult to implement.
Clickfinity Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 It's a setting on your web server, and vB doesn't allow this setting to be changed either, it just allows a "software" limit to be imposed UP TO the maximum of your php.ini max upload variable. If you don't know how to do it yourself, just contact your web host and ask them to do it - that's what they are there for. :D You've got the info you need here in this thread, just copy and paste the relevant bits in an email or support ticket and let the geeks sort your server whilst you carry on your quest to become a legal eagle ... :) Cheers, Shaun :D
bfarber Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 IP.Board has a maximum upload size setting. You can alter this in the settings. HOWEVER, your web server ALSO has one that overrides any setting set within any software package (vBulletin included). Your webserver must be configured to support uploads of the size you want FIRST, and then you can control the upload size *(within the webserver constraint) at the software level.
