THL Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Does anything need to be adjusted in the xcache files, themselves ? When using this for the forum,or is it just a case of adding one line to the config file within IPB.. In regard to this article http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/documentation/index.html/_/tutorials/large-communities/using-alternate-cache-storage-r169
Leooooo Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 you can start with default xcache recommended config, then tweak the memory use according to the xcache admin pannel results displayed after some days of use.
Gary. Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Use Memcache and Memcached if anything, Does more of less the same job and it does not reply on the CPU to serv content, Where xCahce will. It will also save you on alot of resources.
THL Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 Is it hard to swap from xcache to memcache, just update the config file and install memcache ???
