Feature Suggestion: Saved Searches

I'm working on adding a button in our sidebar that automatically runs a search for all of the topics that you are participating in. This really just amounts to a hard-coded saved search, which got me thinking that it would be slick to be able to click "Save this search in my sidebar" for any search the member runs, sort of like how it works on Twitter. Obviously the next step would be to allow these saved searches to hook up to notifications when the results change, like an eBay saved search. They could just be automatically run once per day, something like that. Obviously of most interest to "power users," but if we could pre-fill a few of the more useful saves searches for our members even the less tech savvy might get some use out of it.
