Custom Profile Fields/ Usergroup Specific

I feel this might be a good feature for a future release.

I would like to see Custom Profile Fields able to be Usergroup specific. I would like to be able to create a Usergroup, then create a Custom Profile Field that only that usergroup (or any others specified) could see and fill out. (that would then display in their profile block when posting)

Yes please! Funny it isn't an option already (without customize). Would like to make user profiles public but lots of them have their phone numbers added and don't want Google (and others) to index them.
