Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Nervosa Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Every now and then I have to close a topic. Here are some things I would like to see added when having to do so. - close a topic and have an option to put a comment as to why, with out having to go back to the topic and adding it. - not have the topic "bumped" when adding a reply as to why it got locked. - able to close anonymously and still post a reason. Here is a mock up I made useing a recently closed topic in this section.
Collin S. Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Multi-moderation should do the trick for this - all it takes is one click to post a reply, close, and update the title for resolving threads in the support forum. Have you tried using Multi Moderation before?
MissNinja Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 This hook is close to what you're looking for, but not exactly the same thing. When you close a topic, it gives you an option to add a reason. That reason is put into an automated message posted by the mod who closed it. I'm not sure if it has an option to make the message anonymous, though.
skinbydragonfly Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Edit.. never mind me :P Multi mod is awesome.
Nervosa Posted September 3, 2010 Author Posted September 3, 2010 Never seen this multi-moderation. While it would be good for general things like "Topic locked do to spam" etc., Id like something more personal that the moderator could add when locking said topic closing. I guess what multi-mod does, but the options at the time of closing, rather then in the ACP. Pick close topic, get a pop up > Would you like to edit the title? {text box} Would you like to add a reply? {text box}
