Nervosa Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Its been asked before in the past and the response is usually something like "so many files have been changed downloading them all is easier". With minor version updates being released about every month now, could we just get an update patch of a few files rather then having to upload 2,000+ files each time?
Connor T Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Just don't upload the uploads folder. Then its all php/js files and is quite small.

Wolfie Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Here's an idea. An application that would let you upload the various applications (board, blog, etc), then it would extract the files from the upload folder from within the archive, remove any files you want to remove, rename the admin folder if necessary (along with automatically editing the initdata.php file). Then when ready, allow you to select an option that would run an external (and randomly named) script that would do the work of copying all the files from the extraction area to the main folder. It's much faster to upload one zip file than it is to upload even half the files one at a time. :)
