Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Invisiοnist Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Maybe Im not seeing it.. but is there some option to view all posts/images/blogs/downloads etc that need to be approved? I set the blogs to needing approval before post, but I can't find where to view the blogs needing approval. This is also a problem with the downloads too. It would be really nice to get a notification when I need to approve something, or at the very least a place to check all things needing approval in one place.
I am Freddy G Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 hmm I never use it but yeah I have actually never seen one. I know there is the alert icon that appears and different colored post and stuff. Hmm yeah this should be here like the Report Center or perhaps put those post in the report center?

I agree, it doesn't even look like the galleries approval system was finished lol.
bfarber Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 In Download Manager, click the Moderation button at the top of every page to see a listing of files reported broken and/or needing approval.
Chris - Rethink Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 In Download Manager, click the Moderation button at the top of every page to see a listing of files reported broken and/or needing approval. Hi - where is the Download Manager? Do you mean this IP.Downloads addon (http://www.invisionpower.com/products/downloads/) ? If so, are you saying that someone with IP.Board but not IP.Downloads cannot see all posts awaiting moderation in one place? Thanks, Chris
Biker.GA Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 There is no "central" moderation queue that you can go see all posts needing approval. Something that needs to be implemented IMO.

There is no similar tool in the forums, gallery or blogs to my knowledge.
goodfella_uk Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Is it possible to get notified by email when something needs approving? Otherwise it could sit there for days without being actioned!?
Airleacheri Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Here rejection "middle" temperance stand in line that you can set out see all post need support. somewhat that requests to be implement IMO.
ladyknight Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Where is the moderation que located? I have a member who is on moderation. Where do I go to approve his posts or to see if he has posted?
Midnight Modding Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I am very surprised that through this many versions there has not been a centralized section for this. I don't use moderation queue, but in the very beginning I tried it temporarily and it seems very easy to not notice posts waiting on approval.
Francismori7_2 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Actually, as soon as there is an unapproved post, the icon will appear next to the board's posts count. When clicking on it, it will filter all of the hidden posts and display only them.
Arampus Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Yes, the icon next the to topic reply count is better than nothing, but it's certainly not as convenient as single view of *all* unapproved posts, sorted by date!
Arampus Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 This is a particularly acute issue for us (a mental health charity in the UK) at the moment, as we've just turned on '1 new post needs approval' to combat a severe spam problem. If we could see all the legit, but as-yet-unapproved posts, in one place, that would make the job of weeding out the spammers a million times easier.
Arampus Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Oops, accidental duplicate post was here - please delete!
