New content doesn't show

I believe, all worked fine yesterday.
Today, when I click on "Today's active content", or "View new content", it gives me TWO topics from yesterday.
What happened?

When I want to see today's content, this is what I got:

Email notification seems to be not working either.
I came here manually.

View new content is unuseable for me. Pressing it I get 1000 posts / 40 pages of results even if I mark the board read and then press it again. The newest post is 1.25 a.m. yesterday. I'm not seeing any of today's posts.

Similarly clicking on "Today's active content" link at the bottom of the forum index page produces no results.

I've mentioned this as well.

There are still issues to be worked out with the new VNC, we'll get it all fixed soon :)

It keeps showing me "There are 1000 new entries" when I click view new content and 90% entries are too old and even marked as read. :ermm:

I don't think any experiments called "beta" should ever be tried again on a main board. It's a total failure.

Matt's been working on the search code, we have to find a good way to try and make it work like everyone wants it to, while also being resource friendly. Surely it's better that we tweak this stuff now, on our own board, before we give the software out and you'd all be having these issues on your boards too, right?

Obviously. I think some of us are a wee bit surprised that the View New Content issue wasn't picked up with your own testing before going live with 3.1 publicly here. Could be that after us drooling over the new enhancements presented in the Blogs over the last few weeks that when the big day arrived and the board here isn't very functional we're all disappointed or frustrated at not being able to fully enjoy the enhancements?
