Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
iAdi Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Hello :) May I change the formulation of the IPS coprights in ipb 2.3.6? (the copyrights in the board's footer)
bfarber Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 No, you cannot change the copyright in the footer.
iAdi Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Thanks Brandon :) I will not change, thanks, I thought I may to (someone told me that).
Mat Barrie Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Were you asking if you could change it or re-style it to blend in better with your skin?
zebione Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 For a restyling /web/forum/sources/classes/class_display.php On line 150 to 170 (if you don't change it).
Alex K. Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I'd assume that you'd be allowed to change it as long as you don't change the content text and you leave all of the content visible.
Mat Barrie Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 [quote name='BacTalan' date='30 September 2009 - 05:39 PM' timestamp='1254289146' post='1862263'] I'd assume that you'd be allowed to change it as long as you don't change the content text and you leave all of the content visible. Don't ever make statements like that - if the OP were to follow that advice, and it runs afoul of IPS, then who do you think they're going to blame? It's best to leave making statements like that to the folks that develop and sell the product, for your protection and the questioners.

Mat Barrie Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I can't answer that. You most likely can, but to be sure I'd fire a ticket in to sales or something and see what they say.
bfarber Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 We don't really care if you restyle the copyright, so long as it remains visible. i.e. you can change the color of the link, but you can't make it the same color as your page background (effectively hiding it). You can generally do that mostly through CSS without actually editing the copyright code itself in the source file fyi.
Superman123 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Are we allowed to translate 'Powered by' and 'Licensed to'?
